Venetan Language
(Parlade Vènete Unificàe)

In Veneto people usually employ the word vèneto (i.e. "venetan", venetian in a general sens) to refer to the Romance language spoken in the Veneto Region, regardless of its local varieties, while the word venesian (i.e. "venician", venetian proper) is strictly referred to the variety of this language spoken only in the city of Venice.

In this site we don't want to impose to everybody the venetan variety or that of Treviso or Vicenza... and we don't want to use "false" venetan: the venetan of young people, which is italianized. We use a unified venetan...a venetan of everybody. A venetan which has the nobility of Goldoni's works and the popular genuinity of Ruzante's ones.
We made a statistic analysis of the different venetan varieties and we considered the forms that occure most frequently or are used in a contiguous and homogeneous area (e.g. the central group made by the districts of Padova, Vicenza e Rovigo).

Here, there are the pronunciation and stressing rules, and the main features of the unified grammar.
Good luck ,
